Gareth Davies MS for the Vale of Clwyd visited Christ the Word School in Rhyl on Friday.
After visiting the school, Gareth was pleased that students and staff were proud to show their school in a positive light and display how the school's fortunes have turned around.
Gareth was particularly considered with the school after entering Special Measures and took particular interest in ensuring it was able to make a strong recovery.
Commenting, Gareth said:
''I'd like to express my thanks to the Headteacher Amanda Preston, and the pupils and staff of the school for meeting and showing me around the school today, to understand how they're trying to turn their fortunes around."
"Despite the school entering Special Measures following a poor Estyn report over the summer, I was really encouraged to see progress being made in improving their performance and seeing everyone working together to give pupils in Rhyl the best possible start in life, let's make it happen and I wish them the very best for the future''.
Education is the cornerstone of building a future for all our children in the Vale of Clwyd and Gareth will always ensure that education is a priority by speaking up for pupils and teachers and holding the Welsh Government to account on the shortcomings of its education policy.
