Gareth Davies MS has met with business owners in Denbigh to discuss the challenges facing trade in the town.
In a walkabout tour organised by Nia Williams of the Denbigh Business Group, the local MS and his team met with a range of business owners in Denbigh town centre.
Mr Davies met with Mike Neumann owner of Neumann Printers, Sandra Griffiths of the Snow in Summer Gift Shop, Marguerite Lovegrove of Ty Gwyrdd, Susan Muse of the Glass Onion Cafe and Peter Jones of the Evan Jones Electrical Shop.
Speaking afterwards, Mr Davies said;
"I was delighted to meet with traders in Denbigh and I would like to thank Nia and the Denbigh Business Group for organising the tour as well as the business owners for taking the time to speak to me.
"The pandemic has taken a terrible toll on everyone but none more so than the independent business owners I met this morning."
"We have to ensure that we do all we can to help them recover and put our town centres back on an even keel."
"While the business I visited are all very different, they all have one thing in common, they want to see Denbigh thrive and ensure there are no barriers to trade."
"I will work with the Town Council, the County Council and Welsh Government to help remove any barriers these businesses face, whether its resolving parking issues or scrapping business rates."
"We have to keep our town centres alive and thriving and I would urge everyone to shop local and support our independent traders."
