This morning, Member of the Senedd for the Vale of Clwyd, Gareth Davies, visited Abbey Farm in Rhuddlan which recently won an award from Campsites.co.uk for the Best Caravan Park in North Wales.
The annual awards provide an opportunity to celebrate the UK's best campsites with the winners being chosen for standing out for the care they put into being consistently excellent. Abbey Farm Caravan and Camping was crowned the Best Caravan Park in North Wales, from over 130 sites in the region. Gareth toured the site with Celia and Rob Williams from Abbey Farm and Cllr Ann Davies and were both impressed by the high-quality facilities and care put into maintaining the park, which has won the award three years in a row.
Following his visit to the site, Senedd member for Vale of Clwyd, Gareth Davies said:
“I was stunned by the beauty of Abbey Farm and the care that Celia and Rob put into running and maintaining the site is evident.
“I’d like to congratulate them on winning Best Caravan Park in North Wales for the third time running which is much deserved.
“I’m grateful to have a variety of spectacular businesses like Abbey Farm in my constituency which draw people to our fantastic area and show the best of what we have to offer.”
Cllr Ann Davies added:
“Winning best Caravan park North Wales again is fantastic, what Celia and Rob provide is pretty special and they work very hard to make sure all their guests have a fantastic stay so it’s no wonder they have won this award again. Our village has so much to offer tourists and having this award-winning site in our village not only puts Rhuddlan on the map but brings income into wider North Wales region.”
Celia Williams, Co-owner of Abbey Farm Caravan and Camping added:
“We are so pleased to win this award again for the 3rd year running! We get to meet some really lovely people and are always pleased when they return. Guests love the rural feel of the site but only a short walk into Rhuddlan and more importantly, the nearest pub! Hopefully 2025 weather will be kinder to us and we look forward to seeing our regulars and welcoming new guests.”
Martin Smith, Founder of Campsites.co.uk also added:
“The park was a worthy winner with its glorious location, wonderfully maintained facilities and high levels of customer service.
“The site has gained an impressive 4.93 star rating on their travel listing, with guests continuing to leave huge praise with comments including "If all sites were like this, I'd be happy” and “This is a fantastic site. Immaculately kept with the cleanest of facilities”.
“It was also named in our annual 150 Outstanding Sites list in the summer, showcasing sites that provide a reliably excellent getaway for campers.”
