MS for the Vale of Clwyd, Gareth Davies, has criticised the Labour Government leaving his constituency behind in getting new, modern trains.
Speaking in the Senedd, Gareth told Members that:
''My constituents are still having to travel on 30 or 40-year-old rolling stock, and they are that old. What my constituents are seeing is Cardiff and the Valleys getting new rolling stock and the Welsh Government making a good advert for that, which is great, but the people of north Wales are having to rely on old trains in order to get from A to B.''
Gareth rightly argued that this is the responsibility of the Welsh Government and that Denbighshire is being left behind due to too much focus on South Wales.
