Gareth Davies, Member of the Senedd for the Vale of Clwyd was pleased to speak in the Senedd about ensuring that sport is accessible to everyone across the Vale.
Exercise is vital to the mental and physical well-being of everyone, and in particular, our young people who benefit from building confidence, team spirit, and resilience from playing sports with friends and making new friends in team activities.
Gareth spoke about how Rhyl’s thriving rugby club on Tynewydd Road offers the entire community an opportunity to come together by sharing a love of a disciplined sport. Rhyl’s rugby club also offers more than just a community spirit of sport with a pub and a function room that acts as a hub for everyone in Rhyl.
Commenting, Gareth said:
‘’I am proud that Rhyl has such a hub. It is a shame that many places in North Wales lack similar clubs and I hope to work with other Senedd members across North Wales to highlight the success of Rhyl’s rugby club and how it can be a leading example to other towns’’.
