From Thursday 9th December to Sunday 12th December, the Rhyl and District Soroptomists held a Christmas Tree Festival in St Margaret's Church, Bodelwyddan (The March Church) in aid of St Kentigern's Hospice.
Businesses and representatives from the Bodelwyddan area and beyond supported the event with donations as sponsors and by setting up trees for the event including Mackenzie Jones Solicitors, Plastecowood, Co-op and Bodelwyddan Town Council and individual councillors as well as many others. All proceeds of the event are to be sent to the local hospice charity.
Soroptimist International is a global volunteer movement working together to transform the lives of women and girls, Soroptimist International Great Britain and Ireland (SIGBI) has 6000 Members in 270 Clubs, including the Rhyl and District group. They work on projects to support women and the wider community locally, nationally and internationally.
Commenting on the festival Gareth said:
