Gareth Davies, Member of the Senedd for the Vale of Clwyd, spent Friday 12th May on the beat with local officers in Denbigh's Rural team.
On the patrol, Gareth was taken to key areas covered on the beat such as schools and the high street to get a better understanding of the role the rural team plays in wider policing. Gareth was also informed of the issues the rural team face and the problems impacting the community.
During the patrol, Gareth was informed that dangerous parking at peak times was putting children at risk at nearby schools. Fortunately, the local policing team were quick to react and ensured a PCSO would attend the area to crack down on this issue. Commenting, Gareth said:
''As always, police officers and PCSOs in the Vale of Clwyd are keeping residents safe and being a positive presence in the community. Issues such as illegal parking put our children at risk and I am glad that the local policing teams are cracking down on this problem.''
