Following a Shadow Cabinet reshuffle, Gareth Davies MS, newly appointed Shadow Minister for Mental Health and Early Years said:
"Today Andrew RT Davies, the Leader of the Welsh Conservative group in the Senedd, announced his new Shadow Cabinet.
"I was invited to take on the Shadow Mental Health and Early Years portfolio, and I was pleased to accept this role.
"I look forward getting started, tackling the long waiting lists for mental health treatment in the Labour-run Welsh NHS, and arguing for more mental health funding which has just been cut by 8.8% by the Welsh Government.
"I also look forward to developing policy to bring down childcare costs for parents, and getting this before the Senedd.
"I'd like to thank Andrew RT Davies for my appointment and I intend to hit the ground running, listening to patients, stakeholders, and my constituents, to hold the Welsh "Government to account."
