Rebuild Drift Park Play Area

Denbighshire County Council have closed the Drift Park play area in Rhyl. It has been promised that the play equipment will be replaced once the flood defence work is completed by 2025, but that still leaves two years where children miss out. This is a lifetime for a young child.

As the cost of living pressures increase, the loss of a free play area will have a big impact on parents, especially during the summer months. Rhyl’s Coastal Defence Scheme is necessary to protect our town from flooding and coastal erosion, but it should not cost our children.

The park is a lifeline for our community, that is why I am calling on Denbighshire County Council to provide an alternative play area for the children of Rhyl immediately. I would be grateful if you could let me know your thoughts in my survey below.
